*Helpful hint for Parents & Guardians regarding required medical information. If you are having difficulty getting your child's immunization records, you can call the Department of Health in Bridgewater at 543-0850 and they will fax the full health record to you when you provide the child's full name and date-of-birth. Then just bring us a copy and that's all we need to meet licensing requirements!

NEW
An Update from the Centre’s New Board
The Centre’s AGM on August 25th ushered in a new group of volunteer board members determined to bring this important local facility back on track. Our mandate – complete transparency in operations, finances and centre management.
The new CAFRC Board is as follows:
- Tammy Smith, Chairman
- Rochelle Veinotte, Treasurer
- Cynthia Spraggs, Secretary and Publicity
- Jayne Mackenzie, CAFRC Ops Committee
- Christie Chaplin-Saunders, CAFRC Ops Committee Lead
- Krista Duval, CAFRC HR and Compensation Lead
- Rita Johnson, Membership
- Fred Shaw, Business Process Restructuring
- Blaine Bond, Fund Raising
- Heather Mills, Fund Raising
Our first order of business is to address the Grant Thornton recommendations. We are in the midst of these initiatives and have an aggressive agenda in the following:
- Operations – a complete review of day-to-day operations, budget and planning by a board with expertise in daycare, HR and operations.
- Fundraising – a draft plan is in place with dedicated volunteers in place for numerous fund raising initiatives over the next year (see below for Nov 5th!)
- Membership – we hope everyone in the community becomes a member and has a voice to shape this much needed service.
- Finances and Accounting – with volunteer support from Mary MacInnis and Mike Dockrill, our Treasurer will implement budgets, planning and controls.
- Publicity: Through publications like this, and use of social media, we’ll connect more directly and more often to our community.
Want to Be Involved? Whether your expertise is data entry, planting trees, building a playground or helping out on fun events, we’d love to hear from you! Contact the Centre to see where you can help out! We have lots of things need doing!
